Hello!
I have visited your blog, and it seems to be very useful for using it in the english classroom. Your activities cover the four basic skills in an attractive way for children. In addition, they are very much related with their interest; songs, food, who belongs different objects, word formation... Congrats!

Hello!

I like this activity. It enhances reading comprehension. I think it could be suitable for 6th grade students. And the dictionary linked is a very useful idea which fosters the learners’ autonomy when learning a second language.
Moreover, the activity is related to the English culture, which is very important. We, as English teachers, should introduce in the classroom not only the foreign language but traditions, ways of live, typical meals, festivals and all the events that define the culture of the place or places where the foreign language is spoken.

Regards,
Mari Carmen Marin.

hi!Congratulations! your blog is excellent, and this is my favorite activity because the people who visit your blog can enjoy a cultural topic. I think that if you want to learn a second lenguage you should know the customs and the gastronomy of that country.

Hi! First of all, congratulations for your blog, Maria Eugenia: I think it's really interesting. Regarding this entry, I'd like to remark two wise choices that I liked very much. The first one is that you have chosen a topic related to English culture and, as we have learned, culture is a really important part of the English learning process, because it helps our students to "construct" an English identity and to get involved with the cultural codes and behaviour.
The other choice I liked very much is the direct access to the dictionary. I think it’s really useful for children: on the one hand, they don’t have to look for that link if they want to look up the meaning of any word, and on the other hand, it’s also a way to encourage them to use the dictionary, which is a really important habit in this levels. In other words, I think this is a very well designed activity, congratulations again!
